Contacting programs

There are still several programs that I have not heard from. I am considering contacting these programs to see what my status is. I have seen from other posts that when some people have tried to contact programs ask for more interview dates that the have had there invites withdrawn. I am just curious if contacting programs about my status will hurt my chances of getting an interview. Any thoughts would be greatly appretiated.

Shouldn't hurt your chances and this is your future we're talking about. Contact them.

Shouldn't hurt your chances and this is your future we're talking about. Contact them.

The person you will speak with will be the coordinator- not someone who makes decision so I agree- can't hurt but be pleasant about
