Has anyone out there been able to get a hold of anyone at the school in Puerto Rico? Everytime I call I just get an answering machine. I've left messages and emails and never get a response. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

i called like 10 times over 5 days at diff times each day and emailed out. i finally got 1 resposne. keep trying bro.

i have a good friend who studies there. Who are u trying to reach?

I'm sorry.. but that probably isn't a good sign..

It's not so much whether its a good sign or not. Its more to do with the fact that the person who is ahead of our admissions process, is currently on personal leave. Now, If I was in your situation, I would call housing (Gladys Malave), or Financial Aid (Lourdes). They are very helpful and tend to go above and beyond their assigned responsibilities. They understand the situation and will work with you best as possible.
Done.

besides the money, and the clash with school work/work, nothing. It seems like a really nice area, and a flight there would be awesome! Can you pay for me?

I'm asking because I find it ironic and hypocritical that you are complaining about flights since weren't you the one that complained about other people complaining about expensive flights?

You can complain all you want, they're not going to fly out a rep just for you.

yeah then apply to med school

yes i did. i never said I didnt want to fly there. is it that bad to consider a cheaper option? esp when that school OFFERS that? vs the other poster that wanted the school to make an exception for them

Where does it say on their website that it offers a local interview? 😕

Do you have a practicing IAUPR alumnus in your area? What would be the best way to find out what IAUPR alumnus is in your area?

I was wondering what are some of the stats for those of you who got invited to an interview in Puerto Rico?

Thanks in Advance

Yes I Know of Three. One in which was doing his residency at Omni. There is really know bias to what optometry school you went to; with the boards being the way they are.
