Hi,

I was wondering if someone can help clear up something for me. In Feb, I got a letter saying I was contingently selected for the NAVY HPSP scholarship. The contingency is based on getting accepted into school, passing my physical, and having the security check started. They already have my acceptance info, I know my security check has begun because I had an interview with a private investigator, and I passed the physical. Does that mean I am definitely getting final selection? I am a bit confused because my recruiter told me I was contingently selected back in Dec. and am only getting the letter now. I thought I was just waiting for final selection. Once a person gets final selection, does that mean they definitely have the scholarship? Please advise.

Thanks!

I would speak with your recruiter. That's what he/she is there for. They should know what step you are at in the process and what, if anything, more you need to do.

i'm on the same boat.. i thought i was selected a month ago.. but .. now i dont know.. .. .. this process is a bit confusing..

I spoke to my recruiter and she said I should have a spot but could not sign until around Sept. Something to do with funding? But she told me that in Jan and I got this contingent selection letter in Feb. So now I am really unclear about where in the process I am. Also, I don't want to keep bothering them with questions because I don't want my recruiting office to be annoyed/irritated by me.
