Right now I'm registered for the summer session (psych and upper bio class) and the fall (retake bio 1 and some other thing I can't remember) partly because it will allow me to defer my student loans, and partly because it will help my GPA if I end up having to reapply next cycle.
My AACOMAS sGPA is 3.22, cGPA is 3.18, MCAT is 33Q. I'm trying to be confident that I will get in somewhere this cycle and thus am less willing to take classes to continue to increase my GPA. I'm pretty sure there is some sort of "financial hardship" deferment, which I would definitely qualify for.
Anyone else in this situation or been in this situation? If I do decide to not take classes, I will use the time to volunteer and possibly shadow more or try and do some research (I'm already working 40 hours/week).
