What it OK to post here without infringing on copyrights? I figure you can't post the full article but can you cut and paste the abstract?

Good question. I believe that posting or otherwise deseminating the abstract is always OK. That's what abstracts are for. I believe it's also OK to quote passages from the article the same way a reviewer would. Since all the discussions we have here are done for scholarly purposes and are not being done for commercial gain I think it's unlikely we would be hit too hard by an angry publisher.
