Just seeking random opinion....how much time is adequate for studying for the CORE? Been reading through residency but don't want to get burnt out late in the game.....


Also, how much ptotected time (or half days) does your program give you to study for it. Thanks

Depends on the volume of studies that you’ve read and the variety of pathology at your program. Also depends on how good you are at test taking. I started 6 months ahead. Most of it was paranoia.

See what people in your program have done. Read crack the core. Do questions. Master physics. Read the NIS packet. Make flash cards for nucs factoids. Don’t do qevlar. The core review books are good (msk, nucs, neuro, gi).

Only 13% fail. But that’s still 13%, meaning it’s somebody somewhere. Don’t be that somebody.

Physics, physics, physics...
