Core pre-requisite for Pharmacy - Speech

am a Canadian BS student applying for Pharmacy schools in the US and one of the core pre-requisite is Speech Communication or Interpersonal communication. Since the above course is not available in most of the Universities in Ontario, I am not sure how I will be able to fulfil this pre-requisite.

Harper college in Illinois is offering the above course and I am planning to attend this college do this course during summer 2009

I am not sure if this course is valid if taken as a distance studies.. Some Pharmacy schools do not require the above course also.

Any feedback/advise as to how I can complete this pre-requisite would be highly appreicated.

Contact the admissions department in whatever school(s) you are planning to attend. They can not only likely answer the question for you better than anyone here they can also tell you for certain whether that course will transfer or not which is VERY important. I'd hate to see you take a course somewhere that they don't accept for some reason.
