Hello,
Planning to apply to Cornea Fellowship this coming cycle and looking for more current information about fellowship programs. Since fellowship is all about program fit, I'm not so interested in a list of "best" programs, but more interested in knowing about things like:
- surgical volume
- surgical training (ie level of supervision/quality of training in the in OR)
- level of independence
- call schedule/support on call
- quality of medical training
- refractive/cataract experience
- academic program vs good fo private practice
- program vibe/relationship with attendings (ie more formal/hierarchical vs collegial)
