Does anyone have any info on the DNS program at Cornell? I've looked at the website and called them, but honestly both sources seemed bare of information. (Even the SDN threads on this post bacc seemed dead...)

Any current students out there? How was the program? Where'd you end up going afterwards?

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling!!🙂

i am wondering about that program too. unless the program is pretty successful, i think it is just a waste of money and time.

Pros:
It's Cornell, good name

Cons:
It's Cornell too, so it might be harder to raise your GPA (not sure about it, but it is just the general feel)
Tuition is relatively high

Post-bac name and undergrad name are not necessarily correlated. Just cos its Cornell, doesn't mean its good (see Columbia/NYU...)

Are the post baccs for Columbia or NYU for GPA enhancement?

Do you know a way I could get more information other than calling/their website?

But honestly though, I wouldn't be able to justify paying upwards 40K, and for what?

then just go to ur state college's postbac

The Cornell program involves graduate coursework. To me, it looks like a mini-SMP...or a faux-SMP. It could probably do wonders for someone who has an average sGPA/cGPA....showing you can hack some graduate coursework at a school like Cornell. But definitely doesn't look like the other true SMPs out there because you are not taking classes with the MS1 students or anything like that. I submitted my application but now am not sure I will be following through with it.

And of course, for those of you who are still in the dark about this, graduate coursework will NOT increase your undergraduate BCPM or cumulative GPA.

Hi there, I was accepted into the Cornell/DNS post-bacc program for Fall 2016. Has anyone here completed the program? If so, what was your experience? If not, why did you decide against it?

Thank you for your help!
