Hi guys! I got into both Cornell and Boston post bacc. Which should I go?

I think Cornell is a new program that they just launched couple of years ago, so I have no info at all. In other hand, Boston is pretty well established program. I was hoping that if I do really good at Cornell, I might get into its medical school as well...

What are your thoughts? Any thought is more than welcome. Thanks~

Unless there is a linkage agreement between the post-bac program and the medical school, you would still need a great undergrad GPA and MCAT to get into a school like Cornell. In my opinion, you should look at which program sends more students to medical school.

i just graduated from cornell. i agree with nova, there is no linkage between the post-bacc and the med school, unfortunately. i am not sure about about the boston program, but the cornell program is also VERY expensive. they are literally in their first 2 years of existence so their track record for medical school admissions is basically non-existent. also boston has more opportunities for exposure into the medical field and medical research. the "city" of ithaca does not have that many opportunities. there is only one hospital in the county and it is harder to find volunteer/shadowing experiences (cornell med is in nyc). however, boston is the exact opposite. you have have harvard med, tufts med, boston u med and a ton of hospital in the area. despite cornell being an ivy, the boston program is probably more reputable. when applying to post-baccs i didn't even consider the cornell post bacc for the reasons above. i chose to do mine at harvard extension because it was reputable and CHEAP! one of my friends is/was a post-bacc student. if you want i could get you guys in contact, just PM me. hope this helps!
