What you guys think? A contract facility job or chain part time job? I do not know much about prison pharmacist job.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think prison pharmacists have much (if any) interaction with the patients. They might be asked to see one if the prison has an infirmary, but otherwise, they're in the back somewhere filling weekly orders, just like any other long-term facility.

Having worked in pharmacies that serviced county jails, yes, the technician dropped the bags off there every week, but that was at the clinic and they were locked up.

Damn. I was hoping it was more like HBO's OZ. I would love to make an error and get thrown in "the hole".

On one hand, you work with the scum of the earth. People that can never be made happy.

On the other hand, you get to work in a prison.

Prison. Gov job benefit and work environment are always better than retail.

In MA, the prison pharmacies (except Worcester county) are all contracted labor. No government benefits, but better environment than retail.

Govt job over part time retail?? Real question?

Its a six months contract through agency to work in this facility. Not a gov job. Thx.

If it doesn't require you to leave a permanent position, do it. If you're starting either retail or prison, assume there will be a retail position in 6 months if you need it.
