For the corrective lens wearers out there, are you wearing glasses or contacts to the MCAT? It's a pretty random question, but yeah. I see better with contacts, of course, but I'm worried about dryness, etc., in the room. I doubt they'd let me keep a 14 oz bottle of eye solution by my desk, 'cuz you know, I might read the label and cheat during my BS passages.

And another question for past takers--do they allow you to write on scratch paper during breaks? Like before a section, can you just start furiously writing equations or outlines? So common sense tells me no, but I had to ask just in case I could for PS.

You cannot bring anything in the room, but you can keep it in your locker. I see better with contacts also so I wore them insead of glasses, but you can also keep your glass inside your locker. I doubt that you eyes will dry out if you moisten them before the exam.

You cannot have any study aids during your break and you have to turn in tour scratch paper before leaving the room. You also cannot bring a cell phone. The only thing you can have is food in your locker. You can however bring your ID into the testing room because they will need it every time you leave the room.

I hope this helps!🙂

I've done practice tests with both contacts and glasses, and I always score better with glasses. In fact, my two lowest practice scores (26 and 28) were both while wearing glasses. My other scores (29, 30, and 31) occurred while I was wearing glasses. Coincidence or causation? I don't know, but you better believe I'll be wearing my glasses on test day!

My eyes seem to hurt more when I'm wearing contacts and staring at the computer for 5 hours, so I wore my glasses.

there shouldn't be a need to furiously write down equations before the PS section since 99 percent of the time, the formulas will be given to you or can be derived.
