Does a high mcat or college gpa mean that you'll be doing well in med school or no?

There are lots and lots of posts on this. There are also many good posts that have links to actual academic studies done on this topic. Search the site for some of this information.

In general, many of these studies found that MCAT are a huge predictor of USLME step I scores.

No. I know of numerous examples where people with both didn't do so hot...........

Did everyone who does well in med school have a high undergrad gpa and mcat? I can't speak on that, since everyone in my class has both......

I would think so. The hard part about medical school isn't the material but the pace and amount of material to learn. If you maintained a high gpa and mcat and you really worked hard for it (good grades don't just come naturally), then that same work ethic should extend into med school, right?
