I never took Embryo in college, but now that I"m taking it in medical school I realize that I'm really really interested in it. I also took one of those specialty tests and they ranked OB as #2 for me. For those residents that are in OB or the 4th years that are going into OB, did you love Embryo in medical school, or is there really no correlation?

I hated Devo. To me it was memorizing this enormous timeline and I hated it. Now, genetic counseling and HROB, those are interesting aspects of OB that involves developmental anatomy. But for me, memorizing what's happening in week 11 gestation...😱

same here....i didnt like embryo. however, when on the ob wards with MFM it becomes more interesting since there is a practical context to it now.
doc jay,
what specialty are u applying to?

sounds great. i was a bit torn b/ IM and surgery and picked ob/gyn. the best of both worlds and i prefer the patient population. best of luck!
