Hello, I just got a job as a pharmacy technician at Costco and start pharmacy school in the fall. I plan on becoming a intern as soon as begin school and am a aware they have a student assistance program where they are willing to provide you with up to 10,000 a year towards your tuition on the condition you commit to working for them as a pharmacist 1 year for every 5,000 dollars you receive. I am not familiar with how much Costco pharmacist make but would assume it is competitive with other retail chains but am somewhat concerned that the lack of Costcos in my area could force me to relocate. Is anyone familiar with Costco's internship, taken part in the student assistance or know what the usual salary of Costco pharmacist is? Any information, suggestions or insight would much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Costco usually pays well compared to other places and is more of a relaxed environment in that the middle management doesn't make you bend over backwards for customers. The company makes more $$$ on the OTC section than they do on the Rx section.

can i ask about how you got the intern job? Im about to start in the fall as well. Im not sure on the process. Obviously apply for a license and have that before starting. Would you suggest going in and talking to the head rph? Did you apply online?

Hi does costco still offer this scholarship? I have currently gone through my interview with a costco pharmacy manager and she said they do have scholarships, but I'm not sure if she was 100% sure about scholarships. From what I could gather from online research, they do have scholarships for Hispanic pharmacy students, but I am Asian. If they definitely offer a scholarship or tuition reimbursement I am totally down for committing 24 hours a week to work for them, otherwise I'll stick with my current chain lol. I live in NYC btw if that additional info helps.
