Hello,
So I;m on a budget and need a hard copy of a surgical text. I was wondering if anyone here has seen both the 8th and 9th edition of coughlin and Mann (school library only has the 9th) and whether there are substantial differences in content. As far as i know (and i am only a third year) basic surgical techniques in the lower extremity haven't changed much in the last decade. Austins, Akins, Lapidus etc still done the same way. Im assuming areas where plates and screws are discussed will probably have differences with the advent of new fixation devices since the 8th edition from 2006. Any opinions? The 8th edition is currently $150 cheaper.
