Hi there,

I'm just starting to study for the boards. I've got 8 weeks, and I'd like some input on my plans. Anyway, here's what I'm thinking. My problem is that I'm not so big on the whole annotating thing so I want to stick with one source for each subject that will give me good coverage. Here's what I've got so far.

These subjects will be covered with FA:
1. Embryology
2. Microbiology
3. Pharmacology
4. Anatomy
5. Biochemistry

The following will be from other books. These sections are those for which it seems that "FA is not enough" and for which there are excellent review books available. BRS Physiology and RR Pathology seem to be endorsed by almost everyone and I've used them with my coursework so that's an easy call. HY Behavioral and Levenson Immunology are short and to the point -- not that much more of a time investment than FA -- and they get great reviews. And I don't see a way around using HY Neuroanatomy since everyone seems to feel that FA neuroanatomy just doesn't cut it (and HY neuroanatomy gets high marks from most people here and on Amazon).
1. Physiology: BRS Physiology
2. Pathology: RR Pathology
3. Neuroanatomy: HY Neuroanatomy
4. Immunology: Levenson Immunology section
5. Behavioral: HY Behavioral

Question source: UWorld

So, here are my questions for the users of SDN if anyone will indulge me:

1) Is this a reasonable plan to at least have a shot at a 240 score?
2) Can anyone reassure me that FA is sufficient for Micro? Based on what I've read here I'm reasonably confident I'll be OK but I want to see if anyone has any conflicting views.
3) The thing I'm most worried about with this plan is anatomy and biochem. Will I be ok without a supplement for these with the other sources I have? If not, what would you recommend doing instead?

Thanks so much for your time and patience.

i have a doubt. one of my friend is doing MBBS in china and now she wants to do further education in US. my question is what is the procedure for entrance if she wants a nonclinical branch. she has to appear for step 1 or not????thank you.

Not to be rude, but feel free to make a separate thread for your question since it seems to be unrelated to my own.
