I took MCAT June 29th with score coming July 30th? What if I got a 515 in that situation? Also how can I prewrite secondary and find out what the secondary essay is for medical schools? I scheduled for June 29th test date and if I feel I am getting good practice test scores before than may try to reschedule for earlier.

Absolutely. My committee letter came in around then, so I wasn’t marked complete until they had it. I had 10 II. July 30th isn’t late.

Some people on here frown on the throwaway school method for verification, but I don’t see the harm if your throwaway is at a place like Eastern Carolina who takes zero OOS students.

Be advised, if this is a retake, schools are not obligated to wait for your new score. So, if you opt for the throwaway method, work on your app AFTER you take your MCAT, don’t sacrifice studying for that and then work on pre-writing secondaries, especially the diversity essay.

A lot of schools ask you to write an essay about your diversity that you would bring to the class as part of the secondary. What ciestar was saying though was focus on the exam first and dont let the application distract you from studying.

I would suggest you work on your personal statement over winter break though so you have plenty of time to revise it.

I took the MCAT June 30th this year and got my score back on July 30th. My stats and cycle are in my signature. Major key is to finish your application and get it verified by AMCAS with a throwaway school. That way you wont have to wait 2-4 more weeks into August for AMCAS to look over your application. Also, make sure to pre-write some secondaries so you aren't overwhelmed. Good luck!
