My letter writer made a mistake, and needed to submit an updated version. This is what happened.

1. Writer updated new letter to interfolio.
2. I just used Interfolio to deliver the letter to AMCAS using the same letter ID as the old letter. (am I suppose to use the old letter's ID).
3. Now I'm waiting for AMCAS to receive it.

How long will it take for AMCAS to receive it...then send it off to my applied schools?

That happened to me last year, and I made a new letter entry thing ie I got a new ID and had to send that to my prof. I didn't use interfolio though.

I don't know. I think your best bet would be to call AMCAS.

last year, one of my writers forgot to sign the letter, and i talked to amcas about this because i didn't know if i had to make a new letter ID, or if i could send an updated letter for the same writer. their response was basically: "amcas uploads all letters we receive for a particular letter ID. so, the old one will not be REPLACED, but the updated version will be there IN ADDITION."

all you need to know is schools will see all versions of the letter if multiple are processed by amcas.

This is my understanding as well.
