I've never thought of this before because I've been doing it for so long, but my dad and I have run a 24/7 computer repair business for a few years now. It's been open since 89 and I've run it by myself a few times for up to a year and a half while he was unable to.
Now, I still want to do some shadowing (lots of shadowing.. sounds fun! 🙂 ) but could my work experience substitute for volunteering? Between school and work I have very little time to volunteer.
Good gpa, good mcat, some shadowing and the biz.. is that enough to make me stand out as an applicant?
