So - I'm taking it today - and I slept for maybe one cycle of REM last night - maybe.. I'm still like hyped up on adrenaline - think I'll be okay to get through the day? I can't believe I couldn't sleep - I did everything right - no caffeine, was in bed at 10pm - and now it's 6:23am and I feel like I've been awake all night. I'm not tired - think I'll be okay?!?

You're FUBAR'd...throw in the towel. I'm totally kidding of course. That happened to me before I took the COMLEX which is 400 Q's of fun & I made it through just fine.

Bring some snacks w/ you to put in your locker!!! Best thing I did.

You'll be fine! Same thing happened to me --- although I must have fallen asleep at some point because my alarm clock woke me up.

The same thing happened to me. In bed by 10 pm, no sleep until at least 3:30 am, with me feeling increasingly anxious and pissed off as time passed. I was pretty amped when I woke up, though, because I knew I was taking Step 1, and my sympathetic drive--along with some caffeine--kept me pretty awake until about the 6th block, when I felt like I hit a wall. I tried to keep my focus, took a break afterward, and then struggled mightily to maintain concentration during the last block. But I bet many people with a full night's rest were also struggling during the last block. In the end, everything turned out fine, and I did as well as I hoped.
