Hey Guys,
Im taking the DAT in 8 days . Im kinda ready except for Maths and PAT. Im also SUPER stressed out. I keep biting my nails and eating cookie fortune hahahah . Anyway, Ive read in some posts concerning DAT questions about plants. However, the ADA study guide never mentions anything about this topic. Does someone know if i should go over this topic or not ?
Thanks for your help.
Btw do you guys have some advise to boost the brain before and during the exam ?

i read a recent post of someone who just took their dat and they got a lot of plant questions - so i would definitely study them. ecology, too. you never know!

mine is on the 15th at 8:30 am, only 6 more days, and yes i would know about plants

i think i got one about plants yesterday....not sure if it was the actual test or from practice tests though...lol

Haha OK ! Thanks 😉 I dunno why the test makers love ecology and evolution stuff. Seriously, if i wanted to be a gardener , i would not apply for dental school. Im having nightmares haha. Plus I didn't have much time to practice PAT and QR section. I took Biochem this summer ( June) and didnt have time to focus on the DAT. I have been studying the DAT for 2 weeks only.
Anyway, ill tell you later how things work out for me !

I took the DAT on the 7/8. I got 1/4 plant questions (yes 10 questions on plants) everything from plant hormones to secondary cambian growth to different taxonomy. Also heavily focused on ecology! i thought i was going to score a 16! probs wy my pat was lower than expeced . . . low self esteem. Ended up scoring a 20 on bio. shmah.

Just study what you can. You will never ever feel 100% prepared for the DAT. Look at campbells bio textbook. The ADA is going to pick 40 questions from that ENTIRE BOOK. You will never know it all. If you did, you would be over-confident and do worse.
