Hello! I am thinking of taking a class that my school offers called Introduction to Race, Ethnicity, and Migration, but it is under the ER&M and not the Sociology department. I was wondering if I would be able to have it counted as a sociology course.

The course description reads: “Historical roots of contemporary ethnic and racial formations and competing theories of ethnicity, race, and migration. Cultural constructions and social practices of race, ethnicity, and migration in the United States and around the world.”

If it can be counted, how would I go about doing that in AMCAS?

Thank you so much!

Welcome to the forums.

I don't understand how your university organizes its departments. What is "ER&M" and why is it separate from your uni's sociology department? I'm sure it will ultimately be considered "All Other" under "Social Sciences."
