1) Is it done all electronically? Do I need to send my LOR writer a stamped letter or do they send their LOR in electronically?

2) "If you waive your right, your letter will be marked "confidential" and you will not have access to see or print the letter." - Do I waive my right or not? Will MD/DO schools accept non-confidential letters? Should I just have all LORs be confidential?

3) How do I ask to see a LOR from a professor to know it is actually a strong LOR? Has anyone done this? I want to make sure they are actually good/strong.

4) "Request a signed recommendation or evaluation
If you request a signed document, we pass along the request to your recommender with information on how to add a signature to their file. However, we cannot guarantee that the document has been signed."

- Is this required for the AMCAS/AACOMAS applications?

1) Yes, Interfolio will request the letter from your writer via email, though there is an option to print out a form to hand to them in person if you want to do it that way.

2) WAIVE YOUR RIGHT. That's the whole purpose of LORs, for schools to get honest feedback on applicants.

3) In the vast majority of cases, you should know whether or not a letter is going to be strong (or, at least, not bad). Don't ask for a letter from someone with whom you don't have a good relationship.

4) Yes. Some schools won't accept unsigned letters.

Thank you. Everything I needed to know!
