Couple questions about retake, please help

1. Do I have to wait 3 months before setting up the next retake date? Or can I set up the retake date first and just make sure the date is 3 not within 3 months?
2. What if my retake score is lower than the first one? Do they look at both or just the better one?
3. What if certain sections of retake are better than the previous one and certain sections are worse than the first one. Do the worse parts hurt you?

1. I believe you can sign up for a retake now so long as it is scheduled for at least 3 months from now
2. It depends on the school. UNLV for example looks at the highest score of each section while Minnesota looks at all of them
3. It will send them a mixed message if your scores are significantly lower (e.g. 2 or more points, I don't think getting 1 point less is a big deal unless you see a lot of them)
