1. So from what I understand, you are able to submit your application first day of June and then AMCAS has to "verify" your application. This means checking to see if your transcripts, LORs and such are legit, right? How long does this usually take?

2. Last week of June is when schools are able to give you secondaries(if you're verified): you fill these out and send them back and that's when you wait to hear about waitlist/interview/rejection, yes?

3. Looking at school specific threads I see people saying they were "complete" at this date. What does this mean? Is that the day they sent in their secondary so they had nothing else to do for that school application wise?

4. If you're able to submit June 1, what day does it actually open so you can start filling out the application?

5. What is an acceptable amount of time for you to submit a secondary from the moment you get it? (how long is too long in submitting a secondary)

Sorry if this is all over the place these are just what popped into my head as I was searching through threads
Thanks!

AMCAS opens on May 1 so you can pre-load your application, transcripts and LORs etc so that when June 1 occurs you are already "verified" and can submit with all that done, assuming you're on track. Read gonnifs' links to find out how to submit so you can be ready on May 1. Especially make sure your LORs are ordered early and your letter writers follow rules to submit so that they won't be delayed because you have a lot of control over your portion but less control over other's timelines.

The applications are transmitted from ACMAS to schools toward the end of June/early July so that is the earliest you might get secondaries. You can check this year's school-specific threads for timelines that occurred this year, which may give you some insight into next year's timeline.

Likely, yes. Each school may have a different way of signalling "complete" which you'll see when you submit your secondary.

May 1

5. What is an acceptable amount of time for you to submit a secondary from the moment you get it? (how long is too long in submitting a secondary)

Many adcoms here say 2 weeks. Some schools give turnaround guidelines or deadlines.

Your AMCAS transcript (that you fill in) cannot be verified until your college's official transcripts are received by AMCAS, are checked in, and you have paid your fees and submitted a completed application, which can happen no sooner than ~June 1.

LORs can be submitted separately.

Thanks for the clarification.
