I've been searching the forums and I can't find thread addressing this...how do you mention the couples match in the personal statement, or do you just go off that check box in ERAS as the notification?

Thanks

ERAS allows you to note that you are couples matching, the name of your "couple", and the field they are looking for. YOu are welcome to also put this in your PS, but only if you want to.

I went through the couples match a few years ago. I wrote my personal statement about me and what brought me to the specialty I was applying, it did not occur to me as something to be included it in the PS. During interviews I brought up the fact that I was couples matching with PDs and Chairmen, they were all receptive and most helpful in communicating with the dept my spouse was applying.
