I was going to be a non-matriculating student at Hunter College this spring because I needed to take Physics 1 over and 3 credits of English. I come to find out that Physics is filled. I called the secretary and she told me that they don't have a waiting list. I just have to keep checking the system. Should I just take it at my local community college or should I wait to see if a spot opens up or should I see if I can get in over the summer?

The thing is I don't really want to take anymore courses at CC because I took orgo, physics 2, and gen chem there.

Email the professor. I got into quite a few filled classes in undergraduate by writing polite, convincing emails to professors -- most don't really care for bureaucracy and don't mind having an extra student or two in the class beyond the school-sanctioned quota.

Thanks for the advice. I just emailed the professor. I am honestly considering taking the courses at my CC. It's a good school, a heck of a lot cheaper, and I won't have to take a train into the city 4 days a week which by itself will be time consuming and very expensive.
