In general, which course would you say is more difficult at the undergrad level: Immunology or Comparative Anatomy? I have a fairly tough schedule next semester and would like to take the "easier" of the two. Any thoughts/opinions?

I think Comparative Anatomy would be harder, though both classes are up there in terms of difficulty.

Since there could be significant variations due to professors, I'd suggest actually asking people from your school.

Yeah, I was told to stay clear of the Immuno professor as supposedly she was reprimanded by the dept chair because the whole class failed her final. The anatomy instructor is listed as "TBA" so no help there.

Based entirely on the reputation of those classes, the professors that teach them at my university, and the price of eggs in China, I vote for comparative. People love to hate that class here.

(But yeah, find out locally!)

I'm sorry, I must not understand. Why are you asking us again?

Because he wants our thoughts on those two classes' relative difficulty.

I still say comparative anatomy in lieu of you finding out the good word from people that've been there / websites like ratemyprofessor and pickaprof.

Because I'm assuming that there are at least a few people here who have taken both classes, and therefore may have insight into the relative difficulty of each. 🙄

It probably varies from school to school, and even professor to professor. Try looking at grading distributions or teacher evals.

Why take either. Neither is a prereq and I'm quite sure you haven't taken all the gut courses offered by your school yet. An easy fine arts class might round out a tough schedule nicely.
