Genetics (3 units)

Gen Physics II (3 units/will take the lab later)
Political Science (3 units)

ECs: 4hrs/wk ED volunteer, 2hrs/wk tutoring homeless kids

Also, planning to take O Chem I with the lab over summer

Thank you!

Were you able to do well with this kind of schedule in your previous semesters? 4 classes including 3 sciences with research, volunteering, on the side?

Last semester I was able to do two sciences and math (Gen Bio I, Gen Chem I, Calc). I was fortunate enough to earn an A in each of them. I volunteered for around the same number of hours but no research. It's basic research, which requires only about 85 hours, so I can get it out of the way in a few weeks.

Thanks!

Also, is O chem I over summer a good idea? They ran out of spots this upcoming semester.

Just make sure you reduce your research hours during midterms and finals. I think you should be fine with this course load.

And some advice: try to go to discussion classes for your classes. It will help in the long run when your course load and EC activity increase.
