Hey everyone,

First time poster so I hope i'm doing this right. Some schools I will be applying to next summer have requirements for certain classes such as Biochem and Stats. I was wondering if anyone knew if I could take these courses during the fall semester of my senior year and let the schools that require these classes know that I will be taking the courses or will they not even review my application unless I have already taken these classes? I am a Junior by the way.

Thanks for the help!

Most, if not all schools, allow you to apply as long as you have all of the required courses completed by matriculation. There is usually a place in the secondary or supplemental application where you can indicate the status of the course as "In Progress."

Cornell's adcom people are hard-asses about prereqs. They must be completed by Jan 31 of the year you're applying, very specific writing requirements, and no AP except for Physics. Out of the 18 schools I applied to, however, Cornell was the exception. Most places will only require that you take the last one or two prereqs before matriculation.
