I have a question about what med schools accept for fulfilling course requirements.
Some schools require that you've had a semester or two of Calculus. I got 12 hours of college credit for Calculus 1-4 that I took in high school. They usually say to take a higher level of a particular course if you got AP or other credit for it, so you would have a letter grade on your transcript. But there are no higher level 'Calculus' classes at my university. So, will they take my high school credits (which do show up on my transcript) or should I take some other kind of math?
Also, Harvard requires a year of Expository Writing. There is no "Expository Writing" class here, so what would I take? I've taken several classes that I've had to write a lot for (e.g. "Literature and Medicine"), does that count? Or should I take "Creative Writing" or something like that?
I appreciate your input.
