Course selection......very odd predicament?

I need some advice with course selection. So I am transfter internationl student, I started school here in the US last year and will gradute in 2012. Af my fomer non-US school, I completed the math reuquiremnts, gen bio and gen chem. During the summer I contacted the Med schools and they said that to appy to their programs(Md/Phd) the prequesitite course must be taken at an American Institution.

SO this is where I am at the present moment, at my new US-school I took Ochem. This year I am taking physics and retaking Chem I and Chem II.
At my school there's no Gen Bio course, buth rather it's offered as Botany, Zoology and Cell Bio. Im curently enrolled in cell bio.

So want I really want to find out, do all the prerequistes for admission have to be complete by the time I apply? Next year.

I spoke to my advisor and she told me I should take one of the math classes next summer and I should send in my application in September

If I appy september next year, I will have completed one 1yr of O.chem and phsyics and gen.Chem. I semester of gen bio-cell bio at my school and I semester of math during the summer?

Is this advisable, or do I need to complete all pre-req's by the time I apply.

I believe for most schools you just need to have completed the prereqs before matriculating.

You need to complete your pre-requisites before matriculation, but there was an applicant who posted on the school specific thread that he was on hold for not taking calculus class. So you might want to check that with the schools you intend to apply to.
