Hello,

As I am currently taking 3 classes before I apply, I would like to know if medical schools will differentiate between synchronous and asynchronous courses during the COVID-19 pandemic? 2 of my classes are asynchronous but are at a 4 year where they were previously synchronous ( pre-pandemic).

will this be an issue?

It will not be an issue.

Your academic transcript does not even differentiate between asynchronous or synchronous. "Asynchronous" means you're learning on your own schedule (e.g., watching pre-recorded lecture videos) within a certain timeframe. Your professor has chosen to teach the course asynchronously (and many courses are being taught as asynchronous courses due to pandemic restrictions anyway). That's all.
