Hi deep sea,
1. NTG exp date if unopened then it is good till the expiry date on the bottle, if opened it is good till 6 months
2. seek emergency tx if chest pain unrelieved after first dose

Any feedback pls correct and update me with the answers
Thanks

Do you have access to the pharmacist's letter? They have the latest guidelines: http://pharmacistsletter.therapeuti...Box=nitroglycerin&btnSearch.x=0&btnSearch.y=0

(1) The 6 month expiration is outdated information. That is no longer true
(2) You only call 911 if the first dose gave you NO relief or you still have heart pain after 3 doses.

Hello Jenny2009/enlighten,

I do have subscription to pharmacist letter.Answers will be.

Exp date of 6 months is no longer valid.Modern SLNTG lasts until exp date even when opened when stored properly.
Call 911 after one dose and keep taking upto 3 doses Q 5min util ambulance arrives. This is just to improve pt survival.

Thank you

Yes but keep in mind, according to the pharmacist's letter, "the guidelines now say to call 911 if there's no relief 5 minutes after just ONE dose"
