Hello Practising Optometrist and others who may know about the above program.

Does anyone know about these programs for assistant optometrist? I mean has anyone know of people who went through the program? These programs are for "Paraoptometrics or Assistant optometrist". Has any optometrist required for an assistant Optometrist to have a CPO/CPOA or CPOT certification to hire them? Does anyone in the optical healthcare who would like to work as an assistant benefit from these certifications ?

All info can be found in aoa.org but I am not sure how it benefits the assistant or is it necessary/
