I just took my first test on Crack DAT PAT, and wow! I really suck at this!

My score was a 13. I only got 5 or 6 right in most of the sections. This really scares me.

Is it possible for me to improve? I want to rip my hair out right now, I hate the PAT

i was in your shoes a few months ago. I think i even got a lower score. 2 months later i was pimpin' it, gettin like 13/14 out of 15 questions right on average. PRactice is key, dont stress it and dont blame your self.

Yes it is possible to improve. How much time do you have before your test? Is this your first time trying any PAT stuff?

This is basically my first time trying PAT stuff. My test is scheduled for 2 weeks from tuesday, but I am pretty sure I am going to reschedule.

Dont worry about it, you have a lot of time to figure things out. There are alot of techniques out there that you may not know of for that makes a world of difference when using them. For me the 4x4 grid for pattern folding and the tally for cube counting, i always hated pattern folding and never got any better then my first practice test, and i felt angles were so much easier on the real test. Keep practicing and you will start to understand it. For my hole punching was a pain in the beginning but one day it just clicked and I was killing that section.

Good Luck👍

You will definitely see improvements from your first go. Practice can make all the difference but I would suggest you make some time for it every day. I found that after my 3rd or 4th test that it was a lot easier to put my brain in 'PAT Mode' but if I didn't practice for a week or so I was a bit slow to get back into that mode of thinking.

One big thing if this is your first pat DO NOT TIME YOURSELF. Do it with as much time as you need to first understand how to answer questions. Timed tests come later. I suggest looking up condogs videos...he has really great techniques for beginners. Search it on the forum and then try out a test after you got some techniques in mind. No timing, just try your best. You'll do much better. You gotta put the time in...don't rush yourself. If you have to postpone it...so be it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was feeling pretty down this morning, but all of this encouragement has helped lift my spirits.

Just keep working on it. You can definitely do it because I did it too...

I took my first CDP and I spent an hour and a half on it only to score an 18... I was crapping my pants back then

Although towards the end I was scoring in the 22-24 range and ended up with a 24 on the actual test.
