I've only taken 3 of the full tests (out of 10), one was random, and I'm only managing to get through about 4-5 sections (usually closer to 4) out of the six in the hour time limit. Anyone else have similar results to this? If so, how long did it take you to make it within the time limit? Should I even use the timer?

Also, anyone think the angles are really freaking tough in this program? I'm doing well on the keyhole, but sometimes I feel like the choices are weird, like it should fit more than one easily, is this just me?

Thanks!

With practice you will see improvement, just be regular on your practice. When I started I used to be able to do only about 4 sections, but the more tests I did the faster I got, and I also started getting more answers right. After 5 tests I started finishing in an hour easily.

Just keep practicing. I actually liked having the timer on every time I did a test, helped me know how am doing time wise, which is very important when you take the actual DAT. So I say use the timer.

I didn't like angles at all, but am glad I did CRACK PAT, it helped me on my actual DAT, they weren't that different from the practice ones I did.

You should only be giving yourself 10 minutes for each section, there are six sections total on the PAT so that is 60 minutes total. I complete the angle ranking section really fast and it tends to be my best subject however the TFE section and the keyhole sections are my worst. Try checking out my website www.predds.net/dat-guide for help. I use the laser method for the angle ranking section, the tic tac toe method for the hole punching and the cube counting method for the cube counting section. I tend to take the longest on the pattern folding sections and the TFE sections, I blast through all the other sections. Since the pattern folding section is the last section I use all my extra time in that section, I can usually finish with 4 or 5 minutes on the clock if I am taking it easy, but I have been practicing for about 6 months now. I have a couple videos posted explaining the methods as well.

Yes, I'm having the same issues too with timing. I find myself finishing 4-5 sections, but always having to guess on the last sections I miss. I also kinda dislike some of the explanations. I feel like they could have done a better job on it, but I can't say much since it seems to be the only software out there. Back to topic, I agree, practicing the material helps sooo much. I've improved a lot from when I started. Just keep on it 🙂
