I brought CDT RC yesterday and I did Crack DAT RC Test 1 this morning. I got 18 pts. with 10 mins left.

English is my 3rd language. I really want to know someone's real DAT RC score if they did average score between 18 to 20 on CDT RC practice tests.

Thanks for your information.

CDR is pretty much bang on target. My average for the 10 CDR tests was 21.2 or 21.4 I got exactly a 21 on the real thing. Just keep practicing and doing tests, your score will slowly go up.

Make sure you understand what your mistakes were. That is probably the most important thing to do with any of these DAT Prep Materials.

i have a question...
did you by any chance do the DAT achiever and if so, how does that compare to CDR vs the real dat?
CDR is overall a good program that has definitely helped me to overcome my weakness' and answer the questions in a relative time but in achiever I'm usually having a harder time locating the answers + harder time management...
How does real dat compare to the CDR program in terms of level of hardness, being able to locate the answers. I just seem to have an easier time and more relaxed test taking experience with CDR compared toe achiever and overall perform better...
hope to hear from you thanks...

Yes I did all 7 achiever tests and as always achiever goes well out of its way to trouble you. The questions on the real dat are very similar to CDR in difficulty and type. Achiever's insanity type questions will never show up. I still think Achiever is pretty integral since it presents you with the worst case scenario so if you get something like the infamous piano passage it won't take you by too much surprise.

CDR is the closest approximation for RC in my opinion. From the Blue borders to the passage types and question types every is identical. The only difference is that in CDR scrolling with arrow keys REALLY slow (or was for me at any rate) In the DAT the scroll wheel or the arrow keys works. Since I was taking notes while reading, I preferred the arrow keys (could do it while holding my pen for writing).

good to know and I REALLY appreciate the response. I'm feeling a little better now but I have to keep working at it. Thanks for the note about the arrow key I didn't know that. Oh man... I will be definitely be busy trying to do better in this section. Thanks again! 😉

How many practice passages do you get with CDR? I wanted a lot of practice. Like take a practice reading test every day.

CDR is either 5 or 10 based on which version you buy. I actually wanted to do almost 1 each day so I got CDR 10 test, Achiever (7), Top Score (3) and Exam Krackers 101 MCAT passages (doing 7 passages is about 50 questions ~ 14 tests equivalent). English is my 4th language so I needed all the practice in the world. Fortunately I got by with a 21, but without that practice I would have done much worse.

EK is definitely most cost effective at $20 ish, but CDR is the most representative of the real thing. Top Score and Achiever are just good overall and I would have got them regardless.
