Okay, I am worried for the reading comprehension for the DAT. I scored a 19 on my Crack DAT READING, which is 35/50 questions correct. I believe my score will vary. How was the crack dat reading compare to your actual DAT? The crack DAT reading passages were 10, 15, 15. For my test. The 10 passages, I only received 50% right, and the rest were 75% right.

Any Ideas if I should keep practicing ? Or am I really set for the DAT?

Of course keep practicing...you never want to let you guard down. Just space your practice stuff out so that you can spread them evenly before your test date. You bought them anyways, might as well use them.

Also, I personally think a 19 is pretty good because I think CDR might actually be harder than achiever. CDR, from what I've heard, is twice as much inference questions as real DAT and much less S&D, which might not be a good thing due to a lack of representation. Just make sure you try some other RC stuff.

if you bought the 10 test version, the passage lengths get longer as you continue.
You'll eventually get tests with 22,22,26 paragraph lengths

I scored 19 20 on my first 2 CDR and then I started to score 22 and 21. CDR is defffinitely harder than topscore (I scored 29 on those with S and D lol). And, Achiever even.Qvault reading comp is a total joke. I feel like the last reading ones on CDR are the most bennifical since they are more biology based rather than love story or ship building based haha. Basically, I wouldn't sweat it the reading comp is the only section on the test where you get the answers right in front of you so I think you should be fine. If anything order the 2009 ADA test or just practice with the 2007 test to see where you stand. GL

Don't be so worried! I was doing HORRIBLY in dat crack reading - did 4 tests got 17, 17, 19, 18 - and just came back from the testing center with a 21 in the RC!!!

How long were DAT passages?... Nice job on your score!!

My first one was 22 paragraphs, second was 16, and third was 14.
My strategy was to actually read the passage while taking a few word notes on each paragraph, numbering the paragraphs on the paper. i would spend around 10 minutes reading and 10 minutes answering the questions. finished with 4 minutes to check marked questions.
answering the questions is REALLY easy if u read the passage and use a keyword for your notes- every question i just looked at my paper where to find that topic in the passage, went straight to that paragraph and answer was right there. many times i already knew the answer just from reading.
did this with crack reading but much easier on the actual test - and tone questions were way more straight forward!
