Anybody have a quick answer? I normally wouldn't post something like this here, but I have a test tomorrow...and of course there would be something that I *should* know but don't.
So you're supposed to calculate the flux across a membrane of an ion as a fraction of the maximum flux possible (Mmax). The equation (or approximation?) I have is M = Mmax/(Km +out). Are you supposed to be able to calculate Km, given the ion concentrations inside and outside the membrane? Or would you have to be told what Km is?
This all has to do with the Na/K ATPase, if that makes a difference.
