In NY state physicians are assigned car license plade with the "distinction" MD on it. You should see those crazy drivers zooming through traffic in NYC...just like yellow taxis with MD degrees:cutt off other drivers, unsafe lane change, improper turn, driving 5 miles/hr in a 30 mile zone.........and when they get pulled over by cops they say the same repetition: "I'm on the rush to deliver baby"...Shame on you.... don't think you owe the whole world..

1) They are called license plates
2) You must purchase those plates. They are not assigned.
3) Cutting off other drivers is something that everyone does. Not just doctors. By the way, cut only has one t in it.
4) Consider using punctuation in the future.
5) It should be "don't think that the world owes you anything" and not the drivel that you put down.
6) Seriously? You woke up at 5AM to write this?
7) Enjoy your shift at Burger King later. I'll take a medium #9 to go.

Sounds like a pretty sweet hook-up to me. My concern is that when I graduate with my DO degree will they still give me a license plate with an MD or do they have DO plates? If they don't have DO plates will my DO colleagues shun me for being an MD-wannabe with my MD plate? The AOA should definetely look into this because I'm sure they can find a way to show how the DO drivers actually are better because their training allows them to feel the whole road and not just the car they are driving.

Dude, you've obviously ignored all the OTHER @$$hole drivers on the road in NY. You know, the ones who far outnumber the few with MD plates.

Very nice! 👍

My question is, why are you posting this in multiple forums? I just saw your post in the "pre-allopathic" forum. Are you posting in multiple spots to see who will take your bait and get worked up?

Maybe it seems to the OP that MD's have these behaviors b/c it is easy to identify the plates.

EVERYONE drives like this in Miami. It's like an unspoken rule. 😀 We do have the rudest nationwide drivers afterall.

In NJ we have plates that just say Physician at the bottom, and the number is either MD1234 or DO1234, or you can get your own vanity lettering.
