Hello guys!
I have been searching SDN site in order to see the US school credit system.
I heard that some posts are saying 1 credit = 3 credit hours.
In Canada, we have half year course which is 0.5 credit and full year course which is 1.0 credit.
Does this mean if the school requires 6 credit of English I need to take 4 half year courses?
(most of the courses in my school-U of T- are half year based.)
Also, our school do not consider the lab hours separately.
For example, I took 2 organic chem courses with the lab components which is 0.5 x 2 = 1.0 credit.
However, the most of the school that I will apply requires 6-8 semester hours (credit).
I am so confused with this system.
Do you mind explaining this system?
Thank you so much and sorry if this is already been asked🙂
