Credit Card Debt going into Pharmacy School

hello, everyone!
I have found this forum exceedingly helpful thus far.

So here's the deal...I realize my income will be close to nil during school. I am going to UCSF Pharm school no less, so I know the SF area will be expensive!

I have about $5,000 in credit card debt and I want to clear this out before I attend school. Has anyone had a similar problem, and what can I do to get rid of this debt via loans, etc? Is it possible to add this into my budget for my student loans, or must I get a loan somewhere else?

You can't "add it into your budget" but if the loans your school provides is enough to pay it off, you can use that money. In addition, you might be eligible for some private student loans that might have a better interest rate than your credit card.
