To program Directors:
If I switch frrom IM to OB/GYN, will i get any credit for the ER/IM/MICU rotations I've already done. I know that to switch into ob/gyn you have to start at the pgy-1 level. Does ACOG allow ob residencies to give credit.

Not sure if ACOG allows it. But, one of my co-residents did 2 years of an IM residency. While he did not have to repeat the medicine/ER/ICU months, he still has to do 4 full years of Ob/Gyn.

Most OB programs don't require more than 2-3 months of IM work (my program requires one ward month and one unit month). You'll likely get credit for those, but it will be program dependent and you will still be considered an intern for your first year.
