Does anyone know what score range creditors like to see for credit-based student loans? I have found references stating that a 650-700 FICO is ok for home loans, but I can't find info for other types of loans. For instance, the education one student loan is credit based and can be pre-approved in a matter of minutes(according to the web site), so they have to be using a credit score system of some kind. I don't want to waste my time applying if my score is not up to par. Any insight would be appreciated.
