Anyone going to the interview at Creighton this week (Oct 30)?
Also, does anyone that has interviewed with them in the past have some insight/tips on what to expect or what they are looking for?

I interviewed with them a few years ago ("same" interview date too!). I had a wonderful experience and really LOVED the school. It was my favorite DPT school...I ended up somewhere else due to some financial considerations, but was very sad to turn Creighton down. They are looking for students who want to be at their school (not necessarily students who only care about being a PT). I felt like Creighton really considered the "whole applicant" versus just GPA/GRE numbers. My interviewers were thoughtful, interested in me and had thoroughly reviewed my application and essay. Creighton does a group interview which can feel a little different. (I did an individual as well). In the group interview, you may be asked to work together on something or interact with fellow applicants. Be yourself, be respectful to the other students and be passionate about your desire to go to Creighton....that is my advice. Best of luck!!!

I attended that interview! They said it'd be around 3 weeks before we hear back; its only been a couple days and the anticipation is already killing me....... How did the interviews go for you? For me the personal one was super relaxed and easy. That group interview though......they fired questions at us for probably 45 minutes (after doing the group activity) which was pretty nerve wracking!

I know I keep checking the portal and my email... I just want to know!
I think it went well. I'm unsure of my personal interview because I felt really rushed and am not sure I got across what I needed to. I knew a little bit about the group interview before hand so I thought that one went really well! Who did you interview with?
Do you have any other interviews?

Thanks starrsgirl 🙂 I'm a 2nd time applicant so I'm really hoping this is my year!

Otherwise- I had Dr. Threlkeld for the group interview and he seemed really nice, he just kept it very professional the entire time. I actually felt the opposite about the personal interview, I thought it went swell, it was more like a 30 minute conversation than an interview! That's the only interview I have so far though. I applied to UNMC, Des Moines, Wisconsin-Madison and Lacrosse, and UNLV. No rejections yet so I'm counting that as a win, haha!

Not yet, but I am hoping to hear this week. I have been checking their application portal and mine has been "Complete" since 11/11, with another update on 11/18.

Nope, they've been completely quiet so far. People keep saying in the past they've heard back by Thanksgiving so that only leaves 2 days! You wouldn't think they would want to leave all that work until the day before a holiday.....

One of the current students I spoke to during the interview told me they called her while she was packing her car to go home for Thanksgiving. Since it is late in the day now, Im guessing we will hear tomorrow if we even hear anything this week... I hope...

Since it has been a month since the interview I called them today... Found out I got in!!!!!!! (insert happy dance)
They told me they were short staffed this year and couldn't make phone calls. They mailed envelopes the week of Nov. 23. Mine was already in my mailbox, I just haven't checked it in a while.

May I ask what city you're from, I'm from northern Missouri and haven't received a letter yet.

The distance is something you have to overcome. Im from the west coast, but for me the distance is not an issue. My last job had me in Hawaii, sure it can suck being away from family but you get used to it very quickly. Good luck with that decision.

I called today, they said they haven't mailed anything for me out and probably won't for another two weeks, since they aren't done reviewing applications.... which I find odd, since my application was last edited on 11/16.

That is strange. Mine was originally complete on 11/11 with another update on 11/18 then mailed 11/23. I just dont check my mail, thats why I didnt get it until after I called.
