The pros and cons for both schools. Your help would be much appreciated.

Interviewed at Drexel and while I think it was nice, the HUGE class size is a major con for me. There’s no chance you will know even close to all of your classmates, and the lack of intimate support you will get from the faculty is not a good thing at this point in your education/professional career. It will feel like going to a large public university for undergrad, where you’re more of a number than a student. You need to be establishing strong bonds for mentorship/LOR’s/networking.

Every one of my teachers knows my name. LORs for residency comes from your clerkships and you’re much more spread out for that.

I went to a large university for UG and now at Drexel, I don’t feel like a number.

I think these schools are similar in many ways. They both are similar in ranking and research opportunities.

Drexel is such a gigantic class, and you might feel a little lost. However, the benefit of this, is that they have students EVERYWHERE. The alumni network is huge, and basically every doc has worked with Drexel graduates. It’s well known throughout the country, and can open up some options when it comes to residency.

Creighton is a little smaller, and has a very “homey” kind of feel. There isn’t much diversity in the class or in the type of person who attends Creighton, which could be a drawback. A very large majority of the students match regionally, so it’s a good school if you want to stay in the Midwest long-term. There’s not much going on in Omaha, and you’ll likely save some money because there’s nothing to do and it’s pretty cheap to live there.

I think this decision should primarily come down to “fit” and location, because otherwise the schools are very similar.

I interviewed at Drexel. The problem with drexel seems to be the campus, the hospital affiliations, and the complete missed classroom. Furthermore Creighton has a better reputation and is in a much lower cost of living and Friendly area than philly. Also Crieghtons match list seems to be slightly better
