I'm trying to get an idea of how many people have been accepted to creighton so far and maybe how many spots still need to be filled. Is it pointless to schedule an interview for myself at this point? Any advice or inside info would be much appreciated.

I dont know how far in advance they're booked for interviews, but enough acceptances go out every wave to fill the class...

I interviewed at Creighton last Monday, Jan.15th and Dr. Ayers said there were 20 spots left. That's about all I know. Hope this helps. =] Good luck to all!

the is the email I recieved from Creighton,
what do you think about the interview non having any bearing on your application?

"The last applicants that got an acceptance have until February 15 to respond. At that point, the committee will know if there are any positions available in the class. If there are openings, they will send out more acceptances. If there are no openings, they will send out the waiting list letters. Rejection letters have been sent out all along. Interviews are not mandatory; but can be scheduled by the applicant if one wishes. They are done on Friday afternoons, with the first opening being March 2. Keep in mind that since interviews are not required, they have no bearing on the outcome of your application".

The interviews may have no bearing on the outcome of your application, but can it honestly hurt? If anything, it gets your foot in the door and puts a face to your name. it may also give you a chance to explain your situation and what not.

It depends on what kind of personality you have. If you're A type, outgoing, go for it... if you're not, don't. Interviews CAN hurt.

Yes definitely. I have done many community service/missions work in different countries during the year that were not reflected anywhere on my application (since I applied before I did the work). I had also started a dental assisting program to help prepare for clinical work and to expand my dental knowledge, again this info. is not reflected on my files either. I wanted them to know those things about me too. So yes, the interview gave me a chance to tell them MORE about myself that they don't already know. It's a great opportunity to share additional info/experiences (if needed). =]

just got my rejection notice yesterday 🙁
