thankfully i was accepted to these schools and i am having the hardest time choosing. can someone give me input on these schools? they are all around the same price so dont factor that in with your answer. I am wanting information on clinical aspect, student environment, etc.

Go for the cheapest, unless MWU-AZ is at all similar to UDM. If the difference in price is relatively small (living expenses included) choose AZ over UDM even if AZ is more expensive. If it's to the tune of 10s of thousands of dollars though, go to the cheaper regardless of the quality difference.

Another thing to keep in mind when comparing is that UDMs estimates assume you live in SW Detroit (where the school is located). This is a ghetto to a degree that most Americans never really experience, and you will not live there. They call it the "Corktown" campus, but most of the Corktown neighborhood is on the other side of an expressway and is not nearly as rough.
Anyway, assume the comfortable cost of living to be a bit higher than the estimate they provide.

No idea about Crighton.

detroit didnt seem that ghetto when i went to visit, but it was gated so it was a little weird to me. i have lived in AZ all my life so I wanted to experience something different.

why is that? can you explain?
I know you didn’t want input about price, but to say they are all “around the same price” is negligent in my opinion. I think in the end Creighton will come out cheaper by a significant amount especially when you consider cost of living and calculate interest accrued by the time you have paid it all off.

Besides that, Creighton has been known to have a great clinic and a basically unlimited supply of patients, same could be said of MWU. I would make my final decision a financial one since it’s only 4 years of your life. If you can save money by attending the cheapest, I think your future self will thank you.

Yeah, Creighton is a little over 100k cheaper than MWU based on my spreadsheet not including living expenses

I say go to Creighton, it has a top notch clinical program in addition to being significantly cheaper. Omaha is a pretty cool city too

I get it. Going somewhere new can be great. I just recently started living in a part of the country that's way different than everything else I've experienced.

That being said, that area is definitely rough. The line of houses on the north and east are only decent looking one layer deep. One block down MLK, across I-96, there's a city block that is abandoned and without power perpetually.
A couple blocks away there is a section of Michigan Avenue that has 4 solid blocks of 100% closed and boarded up businesses.
I only stopped at the gas station on the corner a few times a year, but two of those times I had people try to sell me drugs out of the blue. Once I had a prostitute approach me. This was just in a four year stretch mind you. It was crazy.
They built the fence a few years back and during that transition period people had their phones grabbed while walking to the building.

None of that really matters if Crighton is really 100k cheaper like indicated above though. It should be the winner in that case.

is it 100k cheaper with interest or what? because i looked up both costs and it was like 86k vs 94k difference a year.

Using only tuition, supplies, and loan fees for Creighton gives a total of 80k, 80k, 75k, 74k...354k after 7% compounding interest.

Dentistry | Financial Aid | Creighton University

MWU has 94k fixed cost per year and 4k loan fees per year for a total of 392k, which is 454k after interest.
